I'm a life-long educator and writer with an insatiable appetite for teaching and learning. After the untimely death of my wife, Claudia, from lung cancer, I was inspired to write Claudia's Embrace. Moved by the strength and courage she exhibited when faced with the unfathomable, and humbled by the overwhelming community response, I was compelled to capture and preserve her story to serve as a legacy for my children, as well as assist others facing similar situations.

Recently, I obtained my MFA in Creative Writing with a poetry concentration. Poetry is the medium in which I share in the collective of human experience while grappling with the personal.
